Praying for Living Word’s Children – An Update with Further Thoughts

“Praying for Living Word’s Children” is a program initiated this fall at Living Word, inviting members of the church to pray for children attending Living Word School. This program was intended to help families at our church feel more a part of our school ministry.

Based on the popularity of the program, and the good suggestions of several people, we would like to expand this program a little further and include all children at Living Word in such a prayer process, feeling that it would be quite a blessing to have all children in our church and school being lifted up in prayer by members of the congregation.

Participation in this ministry could be one of two ways:
1. Your interest may be that of a parent who would like a child lifted up in prayer.
2. Your interest may be that of a person willing to lift a child up in prayer.

Participants in this ministry would receive one or more names of children from our church and school, depending on their preferences. Since some people missed out on the opportunity to receive a child’s name, this would give every member at Living Word the chance to pray for one of our children.

Appropriate expressions beyond the prayer remembrance for a child are always appropriate. This might include a note, a card, a gift card, a photo exchange, or other thoughtful idea.

If you have an interest in participating in this prayer ministry, whether as a parent with a child to pray for or as a person who would like to pray for a child, please click on the link below to express your family's interest in this ministry.
